Prabhupada Festival
Thirty-Five Years of Unified Glorification

35 Years of Gratitude
For thirty-five years, devotees from all walks of life have gathered at New Dwarka Temple in Los Angeles to honor His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. What began as a simple offering of love has grown into one of the most cherished annual gatherings in the Hare Krishna community — a festival where the only agenda is gratitude, and the only focus is Srila Prabhupada.
This is not a festival of politics or institutional boundaries. It is a neutral, harmonious space where every devotee — regardless of lineage, ashram, or temple affiliation — is welcome to come and offer their heart. The Prabhupada Festival exists because Prabhupada belongs to everyone, and everyone belongs to Prabhupada.
Children who once sat on their parents' laps during kirtan have grown into adults who now bring their own families. Generations have been nourished by this tradition. And at its center, unchanged and ever-present, is the grace of Srila Prabhupada — the Founder-Acharya who made it all possible.

Why This Festival Matters

In 1965, at the age of sixty-nine, Srila Prabhupada boarded a cargo ship called the Jaladuta and sailed alone from Calcutta to New York City. He carried with him a trunk of books, forty rupees, and an unshakeable faith in the instruction of his spiritual master.
If not for that journey — if not for Prabhupada's determination to bring the message of Lord Krishna to the Western world — none of us would have the gift of Krishna consciousness in our lives today. Every temple we visit, every kirtan we sing, every plate of prasadam we honor exists because of his sacrifice.
This festival is our chance to say thank you. Not once, but every year. Not alone, but together. It is a living expression of the gratitude that binds us across generations, continents, and communities.
Join us in honoring the Founder-Acharya.
